BRRRR! Snow (Finally)

Everyone has been expecting snow for a few days and it was just a matter of time. It was rainy and wet this morning, by the time we left for Costco it had started to snow big fat flakes, and by the time we got out of the store we were totally frozen and drenched between the store and the car. If you have to go out in this, please be careful!

Star Mill, Another View

This is a barn that is visible from the Star Mill. I haven't read anything more about the fire yet, but I am thinking of the owners and my heart goes out to them. This building is over 100 years old and a familiar landmark on the Alpine Highway out to Highland, Ut.

Fire at the Star Mill

This morning I awoke to the news that the Star Mill had burned last night. This is an adorable old mill that has been converted into an antique shop. It is just off of the Alpine Highway, near the Alpine School District offices. The news said that they were able to save most of it, but a lot of antiques were destroyed. I drove by to see how it was and things were pretty quiet at the Star Mill, but there were more cars driving past than usual, probably curious like me. I hope that they can get back on their feet soon, it is a neat little landmark for our city. (It seems like most of the damage was on the back side of the mill, not visible from this photo.)

Of course I am voting for Mitt Romney, but this guy is pretty interesting. He has some fanatical supporters here in Utah and his name seems to be plastered everywhere. Is this just Utah or is the Ron Paul Revolution occurring all over the USA?

Angels Get Thirsty Too

They had a fun program at the North Hampton House this evening, a drive through Christmas Program with a Nativity and an opportunity to meet with Santa and his elf Bert. These are the angels from the Nativity, which was great. The costumes were fun and they had live goats and donkeys.

We only asked Santa for one thing... PLEASE FIX OUR PLAYSTATION.
