Mystery at Costco

We came across these two characters at Costco this afternoon after a long morning of swimming at the Lehi Legacy Aquatic Center. We stopped at Costco (or Cost-Mo') to get some pizza and these two were just chilling (no pun intended) in a cart in the parking lot. From our car we could see people walking by and looking puzzled. At first I thought they were bouquets or pompoms, but on closer inspection they appear to be pinatas.

How did they get here? What is their story? Any guesses??

As seen from the bus stop

Waiting for the bus in the cold this afternoon I shot a photo of the snowy mountains. 4 hours later, the whole valley was covered in several inches of snow.

"Hecktacopters" and my NEW CAMERA!

My Nikon D40 came today and I walked around town a bit taking photos. I am loving it so far. Anyone else out there have this camera? Any tips or hints?

When we were kids my dad used to call these "hecktacopters" because "helicopters" is just a little bit PG-13.

Seattle Flooding

As you know, I don't live in Seattle, or even near Seattle, but I have lots and lots of family members who live either in or around Seattle. (HI!) One of my more famous relatives is the fabulous 'Daring Young Mom', who happens to be my cousin. She and many others are helping people who have lost nearly everything.
