January Photowalk

These are some of the models (Andrew, Clara and Missy) that were at the January Photowalk today. Thanks Ann, for inviting me and making me feel so welcome there. I learned a lot about my Nikon D40 and enjoyed meeting other photography enthusiasts from the area. These were my "best shots."

Afterwards, we went to the Mad Greek and enjoyed some tasty food. I had the pepper steak gyro and it was delicious.

Temple View

It is amazing to me that I haven't shown a picture of the beautiful Mount Timpanogos LDS Temple yet, because it is one of my favorite American Fork landmarks. I have taken a few photos of it, but like most really splendid things, the camera does not do it justice. I did take a few nice ones and will post one this weekend.
This is the beautiful view from the parking lot of the temple. I was enthralled when I saw the blue sky peeking through the clouds... it seems like the days have been so grey lately.

Blog Spotlight: Pixel Remix:The Ann-alog

Utah is probably the best state EVER. Its beauty, the culture, the people... the EVERYTHING. I am a huge fan. And I'm not even from here.

I am also a huge fan of Ann Torrence, who takes pictures of my beloved Utah and elsewhere. I especially love her photos of Bryce Canyon. Check them out here.

Back to the Winter Wonderland

Last night I got up and saw pink light coming through the windows and knew there would be snow in the morning. I was right, but surprised at the amount that fell. A neighbor has been going around clearing off the sidewalks and driveways on our street with a snow blower. Thank you!!

Ace, Billiards and Snooker

The Thai Village is the absolute best place to get Thai food in American Fork. I think it might be the only place to get Thai food, actually, but it is REALLY GOOD. This sign hangs on the west wall of the restaurant. From this vantage point, the food smells divine! I don't know that they actually have "snooker" downstairs, but it is a cute sign.

Is it Springtime?

It finally warmed up a little and we were treated to blue skies briefly. The snow didn't melt entirely, but the sidewalks and driveways are now clear. Everything seemed wet and gooey and glad for a little break from the frost.
