Centennial Park

We drove down to Centennial Park last night. It has neat old structures and an amazing view of the mountains, though the entire park is in need of some serious repairs. Concrete benches are crumbling, stucco is basically dissolving. There is a nice new playground there, which is interesting to see side by side with the older structures.

I like this photo a lot, specially of the dissolving concrete and the smudges on the tower...and the colors of the sky are sweet!

I would like to know more about this park. I am planning a Family Reunion and don't know anything about it. Does it have enough tables for that? are the restrooms near enough to see your kids going and coming? And how is the parking? If anyone can answer these questions please do. thanks

I know this park! I remember being just so young and going with my Grandfather to pick up my aunt from driving lessons. It was in much better condition then and my Grandfather took us to McDonalds then back here, where we'd run around and play "bucking bronco" with him, this of course when I was much smaller and he could pick me up. Oh, good times.

uncksalot, it is actually a very small park, and I think it has a couple tables and a little bit of parking. There is a bit more parking if I'm not mistaken at the nearby skate park they just installed, but I wouldn't suggest this park for a family reunion, it's rather small and shabby.

I am so curious about the house next to the park, on the North side. Does anyone know it's history? It's absolutely gorgeous. We understand it was once used for receptions.

If you have any info PLEASE email me!

Just curious if you ever found any info on the house??? I was just as curious as I was at the park today and looking over it and seeing as it’s years later I was wondering if back then the house was as broken down and abandoned.
