It finally warmed up a little and we were treated to blue skies briefly. The snow didn't melt entirely, but the sidewalks and driveways are now clear. Everything seemed wet and gooey and glad for a little break from the frost.

I know what you mean! Yesterday I noticed some blossoms on a couple of trees and I got excited. Spring is just round the bend, which means summer's on its way. Or not.
