I am extremely proud of my little garden this year. The spring gave us spinach, lettuce and peas. This is my first little summer harvest from last week. Since then, we have also had a cucumber and LOTS more cherry tomatoes. I used the basil to make a pesto recipe that I found on the web that uses pistachios. It turned out scrumptious!

Tomatoes, basil and olive oil. Is there a more heavenly combination? I've two big pots of basil on the terrace and it keeps me going all thru summer. Nice shot.
Never heard of pesto with pistachios! Should be interesting. Normally with pine nuts as you know.
