Creepy Crawly


We found this fuzzy friend up American Fork Canyon last fall at a picnic area on the road up to Tibble Fork Reservoir.

I love these little guys! Around here we call them wooley bears. Supposedly, you can calculate the length of your winter by the width of their orange stripe (the wider the stripe, the longer the winter)

Does it itch if you touch them? Around here we have a black kind, though not as big, and I don't know what it is called, but if you come in contact with it, it is supposed to itch pretty bad.
