Chadder's Breakfast

Chadder's now offers breakfast and it is quite tasty. The kids couldn't get enough of the potato breakfast thingies and I thought the breakfast sandwiches were yummy, too. I am notorious for wrapping up leftovers and putting them in my purse, and the baby found herself a leftover sandwich a few days later and STILL thought it was good. Sorry if that grossed you out.

Meet Helen

So I am a bit late in posting about the Saving Main Street rally that took place a few months back... but I did attend and take some photos and had a great time. This is Helen and she makes the most AMAZING blessing gowns. Check out her website. She has a business, You Will Be Blessed, along Main Street here in American Fork.

Her website tells this about her:

"Helen is the designer and creator of our baby gowns. She was professionally trained in Europe and has over 30 years of sewing experience, including 13 years sewing for world famous designer Christian Dior in New York City. She now lives in Highland, Utah with her family."

You should definitely stop by if you are heading down Main Street or look at her website for any and all of your baby blessing gown needs. Her work is spectacular and she is an incredibly nice person.

Rally Tomorrow: "Saving Main Street"

This is the very cool and always yummy Flour Girls and Dough Boys bakery, just around the corner from the dollar theater. Where is everyone?? Well, it was Sunday when I snapped this photo, so they were closed. BUT... make sure and stop by tomorrow (Saturday Feb 28) from 12 to 4 for the:

SAVING MAIN STREET RALLY

The Saving Main Street Blog says this:

"The rally will feature local bands, other small Main Street businesses and general, family-friendly merriment. If you don’t want to see Utah Valley lose its soul, then come and bring all your friends! "

You can also read about it on the Flour Girls and Dough Boys website.

See you there!!

Santa Claus is Still Hanging Around

Like I said a few days before, I love to see the Christmas decorations hang around for a little while. This jolly little Santa brings a smile to my face.

Animal Ark here in AF had "Barktoberfest"... a dog fashion show... today. So many cute dogs in costumes and lots of prizes. Here is a cutie lizard that posed for me.

Husband and Wife

There was a slight "stink" when this store moved to town last year, but apparently, that has blown over.

Quilting Cottage

I got inspired by themeday yesterday and will spend a few days showcasing other stores in American Fork.

The Quilting Cottage is located across from the library. I love to go there to
A. Buy the cutest fabric in the county
B. Look at the cutest fabric in the county
C. Get inspired by all of the cute sample quilts hanging on the walls
If you are anywhere in Utah or Salt Lake county and a quilter, I am sure you have been here. If you haven't, you will want to!

Seen From I-15 (2 of 5): Rainbow Playground Equipment

This place looks like a kid's dream come true. I would love to have a swingset like this, especially with the climbing wall. Totally Rad!

Seen From I-15 (1 of 5): La Vigna

This stripmall type shopping area is near the target and the "real" movie theater (not the DOLLAR theater:) ). There is some type of an ebay store, a sunglass hut store and La Vigna. La Vigna used to be Ottavios and our Dr. gave us a gift certificate to Ottavios when he delivered our baby a while back. The food and service and ambience was incredible. We had such a fabulous time. I am not the hugest tomato soup fan, but the tomato-basil bisque was a soup to write home, your journal and your blog about!! LOL
